HUAWEI Porsche Design Mate RS may launch with P20 and P20 Pro tomorrow
HUAWEI is set to unveil a new Porsche Design handset, potentially called the Porsche Design Mate RS, at its upcoming Paris smartphone launch event.
Promo materials (above) featuring the name were spotted by GadgetMatch at the Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées where HUAWEI will unveil the HUAWEI P20 and P20 Pro tomorrow.
HUAWEI had previously teased the announcement of a new Porsche Design smartphone on Twitter, though its official title hadn’t been revealed.
HUAWEI reps told GadgetMatch that this would be “a completely different phone from the P20, P20 Pro, and Porsche Design Mate 10,” but we don’t have any concrete details on what it will offer.

As likely the most expensive handset in HUAWEI’s new lineup, it may feature a 40 MP tri-camera setup that has been rumored for the P20 Pro model, as well as a Kirin 970 chipset and 6 GB of RAM.
A HUAWEI smartphone recently passed through Chinese communications commission website TENAA with 512 GB of internal storage space, and there’s a chance that this is the HUAWEI Porsche Design Mate RS. It would be the first smartphone to be released with such a native storage capacity.
