- Philips Hue will soon roll out Custom AI Behaviors for the Hue Bridge Pro.
- The company has reportedly confirmed that the feature will launch next week.
- Custom AI Behaviors will allow users to describe what they want to create a personalized lighting automation.
During IFA 2026, Philips Hue made a range of announcements, from new hardware to new integrations. It also revealed that the company would roll out a feature called Custom AI Behaviors to the Hue Bridge Pro. Initially, this feature was set to launch in early October, but it has yet to arrive. We’re officially in the second half of the month now, so when is this feature coming? A new report may have finally given us our answer.
You won’t have to wait much longer for the rollout of Custom AI Behaviors. According to Hueblog, Philips Hue has confirmed that Custom AI Behaviors is scheduled to release next week. While it didn’t arrive on time, at least the feature will still launch in October. As they say, better late than never.
If you’re unaware of this feature, it will be a new tool for Hue Bridge Pro users who want to create custom lighting automations. Through the Hue AI assistant, users can describe the lighting automation they want. The AI will then take your request to generate the desired automation.
For example, you could tell the AI assistant to activate and cycle through scenes if a Hue dimmer switch is pressed after a certain time. The AI would then create that automation for you, so you don’t have to set anything up yourself. This feature is only supported on the Hue Bridge Pro.
