True wireless on the cheap: JLab 's new earbuds cost just $29
Casual gym-goers and professional athletes alike count on music to improve their workouts, but not everyone can afford to shell out for a secondary pair of workout earbuds. JLab Audio is knocking down the financial barrier to true wireless earbuds with its $29 JLab Go Air total wireless earbuds. These are the company’s smallest earbuds yet with new dual-connect technology and touch-capacitive housings, both of which are found in the more premium JLab JBuds Air Icon.
JLab specifies a five-hour standalone playtime with an additional 15 hours afforded from the slim carrying case, which includes JLab ’s patented integrated USB cable. The Go Air support quick charging: 15 minutes in the case grants one hour of listening. They operate via Bluetooth 5.0 firmware and allow for a standard 10-meter wireless range.
Athletes will benefit from the IPX4 rating, which makes these impervious to nearly all workouts, save for swimming. Listeners can access Siri or Google Assistant by double-tapping the left earbud and cycle between EQ presets by triple-tapping the right earbud. Our sister site SoundGuys has conducted in-depth reviews of many JLab earphones and one thing is for sure: the company knows how to manufacture an excellent bang-for-your-buck product.
The JLab Go Air true wireless earbuds will retail for $29 in March. We’ll be sure to update you with a full review once we’ve had an opportunity to test the Go Air earbuds.
