Poll: When was the last time you sideloaded an app on your phone?
Apple is reportedly working on the ability to more easily sideload apps on iPhones, and this would be a major change for iOS if confirmed. But this feature isn’t new for Android, as sideloading has been available since the early days of the platform.
Nevertheless, we’re curious to know when was the last time you sideloaded an app on your Android smartphone. So go ahead and vote in our poll, and leave a comment at the bottom of the article!
When was the last time you sideloaded an app on your phone?
When we talk about sideloading apps, we mean installing apps from sources other than the Google Play Store. Examples of third-party app sources and websites include APKMirror, F-Droid, APK Pure, the Amazon AppStore, and Aptoide. These repositories can often contain a host of apps you won’t find on the Play Store.
In saying so, we’re going to go ahead and say that manufacturer app stores don’t count for this poll. After all, the HUAWEI AppGallery is the default store for modern HUAWEI phones and the Galaxy Store is required to download some Samsung apps anyway.
