Motorola may reveal a Moto E with 4G LTE tomorrow
Motorola is preparing to make a big announcement tomorrow, but there are already a few clues hidden around that may have already given the game away – we’re quite likely looking at a new Moto E smartphone.
First up, specifications for a Sprint Moto E 4G recently leaked on the BestBuy website, suggesting a handset with 8GB of internal storage, twice that of the original, a new 5-megapixel front facing camera, and a slightly larger 4.5-inch display with a 540 x 960 resolution. The specifications also suggest a similar 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor and the same 1GB of RAM as its predecessor.
Interesting, but the big feature is 4G connectivity, which would give the reasonably priced Moto E a further leg up on its competitors. Now a new leaked render, see page header, for a Verizon Moto E again seems to hint at the same new connectivity feature. Check out the 4G LTE label at the bottom of the handset.
Although we don’t yet have any pricing details, a sub-$150 smartphone with faster data speeds would almost certainly secure Motorola’s position as the go-to brand for value smartphones.
We should know all the details tomorrow, when Motorola reveals its big surprise.
