We all know just how intense the heat of gaming battle can be. Pushing intense graphics and high-speed action is hard work whether you’re on a PC or gaming on your phone. If you want to find a way to stay on top of the leaderboards for longer, you’ll need to find a reliable way to stay cool. Luckily, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 has found a way to beat the heat, and here’s how it works.

All about the ATA 2.0

Lenovo’s latest gaming phone is packed with high-end internals like the Snapdragon 888 processor. As a result, it needs a pretty high-end cooling solution to keep you in action. The company crafted a new round of Advanced Technology Architecture, dubbed 2.0, to manage its cooling with a careful internal layout. Lenovo committed to its horizontal layout, and the results seem to speak for themselves.

The entire goal of Lenovo’s design is to maximize the cooling efficiency throughout the Legion Phone Duel 2. You can comfortably hold on to the sides of the phone as you would any controller while the central components do all of the heavy lifting.

Dual fans for the Duel 2

You wouldn’t question the importance of fans in cooling your PC, so why not bring the same tech to your phone? The Legion Phone Duel 2 incorporates a pair of fans in a push-pull system to keep air pumping right through the core. Lenovo even connected the two via a sleek copper wind tunnel for maximum efficiency. Fear not; the company has performed testing to ensure dust and water won’t affect the fans.

Lenovo’s dual fans pack 29 blades, and the intake fan tops out at a whopping 12,500rpm. The exhaust fan is just as smooth at up to 15,000rpm without topping 27dB of noise output.

Remember that copper wind tunnel we mentioned? It’s supported by additional copper pillars and a massive vapor chamber to give cool air even more room to circulate. These components working together can drop the air temperature by as much as 22-degrees Celsius from intake to exhaust.

The combination of innovative cooling systems and robust hardware lets the Legion Phone Duel 2 run the most demanding games without dipping. Check out how the device handled Genshin Impact with a consistently high FPS:

One unified system

Just like your computer works as one system, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 brings cooling components together in harmony. The carefully planned ATA 2.0 structure serves as the backbone for Lenovo’s dual fan setup. Those fans then pump air in and out of the copper vapor chamber and tunnel to round out the One Complete Thermal System.
