Lenovo announces the 64-bit P90 and VIBE X2 Pro at CES
Most would say Lenovo isn’t known for their mobile devices, at least in the western world, but that’s not stopping the company from adding two new premium smartphones to their already impressive lineup.
The Lenovo P90 smartphone sports a big 5.5-inch display, 13MP rear-facing camera, and is the first smartphone to be powered by the newest 64-bit Intel Atom processor. Additionally, the company has also launched the VIBE X2 Pro, a follow up to the company’s late 2014 handset, the X2. The X2 Pro offers a full-metal body, as well as a 64-bit processor.
Lenovo P90
The Lenovo P90 aims to deliver superior processing power, thanks to the combination of the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor and the Intel 5-mode XMM 7262 modem. It has a giant 4000mAh battery, which should last well over a day. It comes with a big 5.5-inch 1080p display, and is relatively thin at only 8.5mm thick. It features a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and OIS (optical image stabilization) capabilities, and around front sits a 5MP wide-angle camera. The phone launches with Android 4.4 KitKat, though we’re assuming the device will eventually get the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop sometime in the future.

Lenovo VIBE X2 Pro
The VIBE X2 Pro features a unique full-body design featuring a layered color palette around the sides of the device. The biggest draw to the X2 Pro by far is the dual 13MP shooters found on the front and back of the device. The camera software features gesture controls as well as “beautification enhancements” built right into the camera UI. Not only are the cameras a huge draw to this phone, but the processor is something to brag about as well.
The handset comes with a 64-bit Snapdragon Octa-Core 615 processor, which should make this device perfect for playing games, multitasking, and anything else you throw at it.
Lenovo’s VIBE 2.0 software overlay has also received some improvements, bringing a personalized lock screen, Instant On camera, elegant transparent icons and much more to the interface.
