Latest LG G5 video showcases the 360 CAM
Accompanying its new LG G5, LG has a rather large range of accessories, known as the Friends, which bolster the flagship with additional functionality and features. To temp us, LG has released a new video (above) that walks us through some of its 360 CAM’s features and options.
In case you missed the launch reveal, the 360 CAM features two 13 megapixel image sensors on opposite sides for 360 degree vision, and records directly onto a microSD card that can be inserted into the base of the device. The video walks us through turning on, setting up and using the 360 CAM. There’s also a look at the G5’s companion software, including the Friends Manager app which manages settings for the various accessories, and how to use the G5 as a viewfinder for the external camera.
LG is going big on accessories for its G5 this year. Other LG G5 Friends devices include the LG CAM Plus modular grip accessory, the B&O Hi-Fi audio module that now won’t go on sale in the US, a Rolling Bot home security robot, and the LG 360 VR headset. Additional third party modular components for the smartphone are anticipated to appear later in the year.
The LG 360 CAM is currently available to pre-order from B&H Photo with a $199 price tag. Does anyone like the look of LG’s range of accessories?
