LG V50 ThinQ 5G price & release date
The recently announced LG V50 ThinQ 5G is basically a souped-up version of last fall’s LG V40, complete with the same design and much of the same hardware. However, the LG V50 adds the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and, more importantly, it will be LG’s first 5G phone.

What’s the LG V50’s price, when will it be released, and when can you buy it? We’ve rounded up all the LG V50 availability details we could find.
LG V50 price
Sprint’s current LG V50 price tag is $24 per month with $0 down with a Sprint Flex 18-month lease plan. This is just for a limited time, and the carrier says that is half of its normal lease price. The normal, non-contract price of the phone is set at $1,152.
Verizon started selling the LG V50 on Thursday, June 20. You can pay $41.66 per month for 24 months on a Verizon Device Payment plan if you wish, or you can pay for the phone outright at a price of $1,000. You can save up to $450 off the V50 by trading in your current phone and, if you switch to Verizon from another carrier to get the V50, you will earn a $200 prepaid Mastercard. To get the Mastercard, you must switch to Verizon from another carrier, buy an LG V50 on a Verizon Device Payment plan, and subscribe to Verizon Unlimited.
You do not need to live in a 5G-enabled city to buy the LG V50 from Verizon and the phone will work on 4G LTE networks.
LG V50 release date and availability in the U.S.
The LG V50 was first released on Sprint, where the phone uses the carrier’s 2.5GHz spectrum. However, you can only purchase the phone in Sprint’s first four 5G cities of Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, and Kansas City, with more cities to be added later in 2019. The phone officially went on sale May 31 via Sprint.
Verizon started selling the V50 ThinQ on June 20. Unlike with Sprint, you do not need to live in a 5G-enabled location to buy the phone.
LG V50 price, release date, and availability in the U.K.
EE announced it will be the exclusive carrier to sell the LG V50 ThinQ 5G. There’s no word in pricing or availability, except that it will launch on EE’s 5G network “later this year.”
