How to stream Lifetime Christmas movies
The holiday season is ramping up, and that means it’s time for new Christmas movies to binge while keeping warm. One of the biggest producers of Christmas movies is Lifetime, and with 35 new Lifetime Christmas movies, 2021 is as good a year as ever to dig in.
So, read on for everything we know about the new slate, including how to stream Lifetime holiday movies if you don’t have the channel as part of a cable subscription.
What are these movies about?
Lifetime movies are often lumped in with Hallmark Channel movies, which isn’t quite accurate on the whole. The big exception is in their holiday output, where we see a lot of overlap in feel-good, romantic programming.
The A&E-owned cable channel produces women-centric shows and movies which ranges from TV movies like Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance to the psychological thriller series You (now a Netflix original series) to hard-hitting documentary programming like Surviving R. Kelly.

Most of Lifetime’s Christmas movies air on the side of lighter fare under the It’s a Wonderful Lifetime banner. Secret princes, chance encounters, and fish-out-of-water romances are pretty common.
Mixed in are some different formats, like this year’s musical Reba McEntire’s Christmas in Tune. The 2021 slate also includes some diverse narratives for viewers looking for Christmas movies not limited to straight, white holiday stories.
Where can I watch Lifetime Christmas movies?
Lifetime is an old-school cable channel. If you want to watch Lifetime holiday movies, that means your best and easiest option is to subscribe through your cable provider and watch them as they air in real-time.
You can also watch a limited number of Lifetime programs, including Christmas films, on Lifetime’s website. Most titles available there, however, require a subscription to Lifetime via a cable provider.

That means whatever path you choose, a traditional cable subscription is needed to watch the bulk of these titles. That doesn’t necessarily mean you’re out of luck if you’ve cut the cord though. Read on for some non-cable workarounds.
Where can I stream Lifetime holiday movies?
Your easiest streaming option comes on the Lifetime website itself, where shows and movies are available to stream. As mentioned in the previous section though, most of the titles available there require a subscription to Lifetime via a cable provider.
You’ll get instant, free access to some Lifetime Christmas movies though, including new ones like Baking Spirits Bright. Most titles available without a subscription are older, like 2020’s A Taste of Christmas and 2018’s A Twist of Christmas.
You may also find a streaming title via third-party agreements with your favorite streaming services. You won’t find a one-stop-shop for all of them, and the 2021 slate won’t be included there at all.
Cord cutters who want Lifetime Christmas movies do have options.
If you want this year’s batch of Lifetime Christmas movies, you’ll have to go straight to the source, which means Lifetime itself on cable.

Luckily, there are ways to bridge the gap between cable and streaming. Sling TV is one such service, which gives you access to numerous cable channels, including Lifetime. There are others to choose from too, like Philo TV, Frndly TV, Hulu Plus Live TV, and more. These live TV streaming services basically give you cable online.
You can sign up for any of those to watch live on Lifetime or save films for later viewing on the services’ various cloud storage options.
