LineageOS 16.0 Pie launched on Nexus 6, Galaxy S5, OnePlus phones, and more
LineageOS 16.0, based on Android Pie, is now rolling out. The LineageOS team announced the update in a post yesterday (via Android Police), along with the device list, change log, and other updates.
LineageOS said it has dropped support for version 14.1, based on Android Nougat, as the latest version rolls out. However, it will still support security updates if the community wants to implement them. Version 15.1, meanwhile, will remain in development, though the team warned it’s unlikely to receive any new features since most developers move to version 16.0.
The LineageOS team also said it had made some changes to its Styles API to support the native dark mode for Android when it rolls out in future.
