Location tracking is a double-edged sword on smartphones, enabling a host of use-cases but also being used by Google and other companies to track your whereabouts.

Is location tracking enabled or disabled on your phone though? That’s what we want to know in our featured poll today, so let us know via the poll below.

Location tracking can be toggled via your phone’s quick settings menu or via the settings menu itself. But you’ll want to keep it on when navigating via Google Maps or when using services like ride-hailing and delivery apps.

Then again, companies and authorities can use your phone’s location permissions for marketing and surveillance, among other less-than-savory reasons. So we’d totally understand if you disabled location tracking.
