Louis Vuitton's new wireless earbuds cost $1,000 — as dumb as it sounds
Fortune favors the bold in the fast-paced world of fashion, or so I’m told, and few things are bolder than dropping nearly $1,000 on a pair of earbuds. Master & Dynamic, a premium audio company, announced its partnership with French fashion brand Louis Vuitton by debuting the Louis Vuitton Horizon Earphones.
These opulent true wireless earbuds are internally identical to the MW07, which is expensive enough without the additional cost of the high falutin Louis Vuitton logo. Both the MW07 and Horizon Earphones feature 10mm beryllium dynamic drivers and share a claimed battery life of 3.5 hours. However, SoundGuys’ objective battery testing for MW07 yielded 3.03 hours of playback, and we expect the same for Louis Vuitton edition.
Don’t worry though — that $1,000 affords a few updates, albeit surface-level ones.
For one, the Louis Vuitton monogram brazenly sits atop the housings. What’s more, this exclusive will be available in four finishes: black, white, red, and one with blue and orange stripes overlayed on a black background. It also includes a stout cylindrical charging case, which mimics the design of Louis Vuitton’s Tambor Horizon smartwatch. The case features as a sapphire glass window to admire the earbuds from.
While availability is up in the air, High Snobiety reports the Horizon Earphones are expected to retail for $995.
