Gboard on the Pixel 2.

If you use the beta version of Google’s incredible Gboard keyboard app, you may have noticed a new feature that popped up today. It appears that through Gboard, you can make your own GIF.

To make your own GIF, head into the keyboard and tap the Emoji icon. From there, tap the GIF button and you should see the Make a GIF option. Tap that and you’re in the section where you can make your own GIF!

Making the GIF couldn’t be easier. Once you’ve hit the Make a GIF button, your camera app will open up. You can make your own GIF using either the rear or front cameras, and you can add effects before recording. Once your masterpiece is done, you can send it, save it, or re-do it.

While this feature is currently only available in the beta version of Gboard, this seems like the kind of thing that will inevitably make it to the stable version.
