Marshmallow lands for the Galaxy Note 4 in India
In what’s turning into a very pleasant trend from Samsung, it’s another week and there’s another Marshmallow update rolling out for one of the company’s handsets. This time it’s the turn of the Galaxy Note 4 in India to the receive Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow treatment.
As I’m sure you are all aware by now, Android Marshmallow includes the new highly configurable app permission controls, Google Now on Tap, and Doze battery optimizations. Samsung has also packaged in its redesigned TouchWiz interface, complete with new features which include an advanced power saving mode to restrict background apps and data, and a new Quick connect feature to help discover nearby devices. The update also includes the March Android security patches to keep your devices free from the latest exploits.
The Marshmallow update comes in at a rather large 1.4GB, so you’ll certainly want to grab this one over a decent Wi-Fi connection. If you haven’t spotted that OTA notification just yet, you can always check through Settings > About phone. Let us know if the update has landed for you.
