Latest update brings Material Design and Chromecast support to TuneIn Radio
TuneIn Radio is receiving a pretty decent update beginning today, bringing Material Design and Chromecast support to the app. Among other improvements added to the update, these are the most prominent. So let’s take a look at the new enhancements, shall we?
To begin, let’s talk about Chromecast support. What was probably the most requested feature for the app is finally here. Now you can simply press the Chromecast icon and your stream will go right to your television or monitor. Next on the list is Material Design, bringing visual and new UX enhancements throughout the app. We get that familiar menu button that turns into a back arrow, similar to what we see in the Play Store. TuneIn still uses the nice soft colors we’re used to, but adds smooth transition effects, an updated lock screen view, and paper-like menus that give depth to the app.
The folks at TuneIn have also brought Android TV support, alarm improvements, and some more bug fixes with this update, making it that much better. If you haven’t yet checked out TuneIn, now is a good time to do so. Hit up the link below to grab it from the Play Store! How are you liking the update? Do you use any other streaming services?
