Moto 360 and 360 Sport updated with new Moto Body features and a security update
A new update, build number MWD49B, has begun heading out to the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) and the Moto 360 Sport today. The little Android Wear update features important security fixes and some unspecified stability improvements to the two smartwatches, along with some enhancements to the Moto Body fitness application.
If you’re interested in the finer details, here is the change-log from Motorola:
- Moto Body enhanced calorie calculation: Moto Body now takes heart rate into account when calculating calories burned.
- Moto Body heart rate continuous measure: Heart rate measures in Moto Body are now continuously updated, you don’t need to tap to re-scan while you are in the app.
- Security updates: Includes the updates of Android monthly security bulletin until May 1st 2016
- Stability Improvements: Includes changes that fix bugs and improve stability.
As always, you might have to wait a little while before the update rolls out to you. Although eager users can always manually check for the update by heading on over to the Settings menu. If you have received a notification message already, simply swipe left in the System update screen and touch “Open”, then hit Yes under “Ready to install?” and you’re good to go.
