Moto E3 Power makes history in India with 100,000 sales in first day
Lenovo’s $120 Moto E3 Power has hit a new record with sales of 100,000 units in a single day. This was announced just three days after the handset was launched in India on Monday midnight. The third generation of the Moto E series now offers a more generous display without an increase in cost. This factor could be the catalyst for the record breaking sales figure.
Amit Boni, General Manager, Motorola Mobility in India, hailed the achievement over Twitter: “Our teams @Flipkart & @Moto_IND have made history. 100000 #MotoE3Power sold in one day. Recordbreakingspree!!”
Motorola India did not want to miss out on the celebrations as well, and put up their congratulatory tweet: “Moto & @Flipkart have made History with 100k #MotoE3Power phones sold on launch day! Highest ever sold on day 1 @Flipkart. Thanks to our fans”
The Moto E3 Power focuses mainly on its 3,500mAh battery that should help it go the distance in everyday use. It features a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSD, a 5-inch HD display, an 8MP shooter with LED flash at the back and a 5MP front-facing camera, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, and dual SIM capability.
Powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Moto E3 Power boasts a water repellent nano-coating. No wonder developing markets like India love such an affordable smartphone that does not skimp on its features.
