Motorola Android 12 update rollout begins in Feb — Is your phone on the list?
- Motorola has released the list of its phones that are scheduled to get the Android 12 update.
- The first phones will receive the update in February 2022.
- It will include Google’s Material You customization features, and a whole lot more.
Motorola doesn’t exactly have the best reputation for updating its phones with the latest Android OS version. Even if it does release a system-level update, it can take months to roll out. Nevertheless, the company seems to want to change that reputation. In a new blog post, it released a list of all the current Motorola phones that are scheduled to get the Android 12 update.
The list of phones that will get the Motorola Android 12 update will include:
- Motorola Razr 5G
- Motorola Razr 2020

- Motorola Edge 20 Fusion

In addition, the following business edition phones will get the Motorola Android 12 update as well:
- Moto G Pro

- Motorola Edge 20

- Motorola Edge 20 Fusion
The blog post states that the OS upgrade is currently in closed beta testing, and will begin rolling out sometime in February 2022. It’s currently unknown which phones will get the Motorola Android 12 update first. When it does begin, Motorola phones will still have access to their own Android skin, My UX.
Motorola says My UX will not “get in the way of a pure Android experience,” according to the blog post. That means you’ll be able to access Android 12 features like Material You customizations, along with area magnification, the new Privacy Dashboard, and much more.
