This is the Motorola Frontier, featuring a 200MP camera and a weird camera bump
- Motorola Frontier renders have leaked online, giving us a look at the upcoming flagship phone.
- The source has also corroborated previous specs, such as a 200MP main camera.
We first heard about the so-called Motorola Frontier last week via TechnikNews, with the website claiming it will offer features like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset and a 200MP main camera. Now, another website has corroborated these claims while also giving us our first apparent look at the phone.
Reliable German outlet WinFuture has posted a render of the Motorola Frontier (seen at the top of the page), showing a phone with a curved screen and center-mounted punch-hole cutout on the front. Look at the back and you’ll notice that the rear cover curves as well, while a triple camera housing can be seen too.
Oddly enough, part of the camera bump seems to be sitting on one of the rear cover curves. We hope this is an error with the render and that the camera bump is completely on the flat part of the rear cover.
What about Motorola Frontier specs?
The outlet also corroborated most of TechnikNews‘s specs, such as the SM8475 chipset (set to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus), 6.67-inch 144Hz OLED screen (FHD+), 8GB to 12GB of RAM, 125W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and a 60MP selfie camera.
WinFuture also corroborated most of the rear camera specs, confirming a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide shooter, and a 12MP telephoto lens. It added a few more details though, such as the presence of optical image stabilization on the 200MP camera and the telephoto lens being a 2X sensor.
Other notable Motorola Frontier details by the website include a 4,500mAh battery, 128GB to 256GB of storage, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a triple microphone array. Finally, it’s claimed that the phone will be available in July 2022.
