Motorola One Macro launched: Getting you closer to the action
Motorola’s One line has steadily grown over the past year or so, but the company isn’t finished just yet. The latest addition to the series is the Motorola One Macro.
As the name suggests, we’re looking at a phone with a 2MP macro rear camera on the back. This allows users to get as close as two centimeters (0.8 inches) to a subject for close-up shots. This isn’t the only rear camera though, as you’ve also got a 13MP f/2.0 primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
The camera experience also includes AI-powered scene recognition, Smart Composition capabilities, Auto Smile Capture, cinemagraphs, and Spot Color effects. Oddly enough, it doesn’t seem like the company’s take on Night Mode is here.
What else should you know?
The Motorola One Macro sports an IPS LCD screen (6.2-inch, HD+), but it doesn’t seem like a 21:9 display. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as the 21:9 aspect ratio seen on previous Motorola devices often results in black bars for many videos. Otherwise, you’ll also find an 8MP camera in a waterdrop notch here.
Pop the hood and you’ll find a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset here, along with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. Other notable details include a 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging, a water-repellent design, USB-C connectivity, and a 3.5mm port.
The Motorola One Macro will be available from October 12 via Flipkart for Rs. 9,999 (~$141), which seems appropriate for the mostly lower mid-range specs you’re getting. After all, the device lacks a full HD screen and 48MP rear camera. You can check out the Flipkart listing via the button below.
