Motorola One Power specs leak: What should you expect? (Update: TENAA listing shows up)
Update, July 26, 2018 (02:23AM EST): The Motorola One Power has been the subject of several leaks recently, and now China’s TENAA regulatory body has delivered a host of details via a device filing.
The filing reveals a phone with the model number XT1942-1, which lines up with our original article below (and other leaks). The iPhone X-style camera housing is virtually identical to previous leaks as well, which further drives home the point that this is indeed the Motorola One Power.
However, the one major difference between Techienize‘s scoop and the TENAA filing is in the battery department, as the listing reveals a large 4,850mAh battery compared to the claimed 3,780mAh cell.
We also see a 6.18-inch 2,246 x 1,080 LCD screen, although we can’t quite make out a notch. Then again, the quoted resolution is usually associated with display notches anyway. Other core specs include 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of expandable storage, and an unnamed 1.8Ghz processor. The latter would indeed suggest a Snapdragon 636, as this processor tops out at 1.8Ghz.

In the camera department, we see a 16MP and 5MP rear pairing and a 12MP front-facing shooter. If confirmed — and TENAA isn’t always accurate with its camera specs — it would make for a resolution upgrade over the original source’s 12MP+5MP rear pairing and 8MP selfie snapper.
Finally, the Android 8.1 device has a headphone jack, so you won’t need to faff about with a dongle or Bluetooth headset.
Original article, June 10, 2018 (04:31AM EST): A little over a week ago, we got wind that the Motorola One Power might be the company’s second Android One smartphone. Now, we have another leak that provides a clearer picture of what we could expect from the Lenovo subsidiary.
Obtained by Techienize, the alleged specs sheet shows that the One Power will feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ (2,280 x 1,080) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a very wide notch at the top. Inside of the notch is reportedly an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
Around back are the 12MP and 5MP dual cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.0 apertures, respectively. We assume the 5MP sensor will only be used to capture depth information for a portrait mode, but we will see.
Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset and 4GB of RAM reportedly run the show. The 64GB of reported built-in storage is nice, while the 3,780mAh battery hopes to live up to the One Power name.
The phone reportedly runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. A previous report pegged the One Power as an Android One smartphone, which means it should get at least two major Android updates and timely security patches.
Previous renders also showed off the One Power’s vertical camera arrangement and fingerprint sensor around back, a faint Motorola logo at the bottom, and a USB Type-C port.
In related news, a Motorola smartphone listed as XT1942-1 received 3C certification in China. Believed to be the One Power, the phone was listed with 5V/3A, 9V/2A, and 12V/1.5A charging speeds.
Overall, the One Power looks to be an intriguing smartphone from Motorola. As previously reported, the One Power could be the Moto X5 that Motorola never got around to finishing due to reported layoffs at its Chicago offices.
