Motorola is finally bringing its true flagship with Snapdragon to the US

Motorola’s first Signature phone felt like the kind of flagship the US Android market could really use. It had premium hardware, long software support, and a serious camera setup, except Motorola never actually sold it here. That omission made the Signature 27 teasers on Motorola’s US channels especially interesting. Now that the phone has officially been unveiled, there’s no more guessing. The Motorola Signature 27 is coming to the US, and Motorola has even told us when to expect it.

Motorola’s US website confirms the Signature 27 is coming this November, although the company hasn’t revealed an exact release date or pricing yet. A registration page is live, where interested buyers can already sign up for updates, offers, and the chance to be among the first to pre-order.

And Motorola certainly isn’t treating this like a half-hearted flagship.

Unlike the original Signature, which settled for Qualcomm’s second-class Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the Signature 27 goes straight for the top shelf. It’s the first phone announced with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, backed by Motorola’s upgraded ArcticMesh cooling system for sustained performance. Motorola is also promising seven OS upgrades and up to seven years of security updates.

The company is also making a big deal about cameras, calling this its “best camera system yet.” So far, Motorola has confirmed a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main camera and a huge 200MP periscope telephoto shooter, upgraded stabilization, and a new Video Enhancement Engine that adjusts things like color and exposure while you’re recording.

That’s what makes its US arrival so interesting. Premium non-folding Android choices here have become increasingly concentrated around Samsung and Google. The Signature 27 won’t change that overnight, but Motorola finally looks ready to give US buyers another serious flagship option — and this time, you’ll actually be able to buy it.
