Another Wear OS watch with 1GB of RAM is here, but it costs $500
As the Fossil Gen 5 demonstrated in our review, 1GB of RAM might be the voodoo for improved performance in Wear OS. Someone at Movado took notes, since the new Connect 2.0 smartwatch also features 1GB of RAM.
Announced today, the Movado Connect 2.0 comes in 40mm and 42mm sizes. The smartwatch also features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 chipset, swappable straps with a quick-release mechanism, a heart rate monitor, GPS, 8GB of storage, and up to 24 hours of battery life.

On the right are the crown and two programmable buttons. By default, the buttons open Google Fit and Google Pay. The good news is you can go into the software and have the buttons open any other apps.
Finally, the Connect 2.0 comes in a stainless steel case and comes with a stainless steel mesh bracelet, stainless steel link bracelet, leather strap, or fabric strap.
The Connect 2.0 is now up for pre-order on Movado’s website, with shipping slated for October 14. The smartwatch starts at $495 with the fabric strap, with the price shooting up to $695 with the stainless steel mesh bracelet. You can also pre-order a stainless steel mesh bracelet for $245, with shipping slated for October 14.
