We MUST have this Batman-themed limited edition Galaxy S7 Edge
I’ll go out on a limb and assume that the entire Android Authority team is just as excited as I am about Samsung’s latest limited edition flagship.
The all-black Galaxy S7 Edge was already striking in a stealthy, yet flashy kind of way. Slap a bat logo on it, add a touch of gold, and the allure of a semi-exclusive release, and boy, you’ve got yourself a glorious piece of kit. Just look at it. My inner 12-year self is smitten.
Okay, now that I geeked that out of my system, here’s what you should know about the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition.
Samsung teamed up with Warner Bros and DC Comics for a limited edition of the S7 Edge that is inspired by Injustice: Gods Among Us, the popular fighting game. The collaboration is supposed to celebrate the third anniversary of the release of the Android version of Injustice, but we suspect that was just an excuse to come out with a hot Batman-themed device (that’s totally fine by us).
The Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition will be available starting in early June in “select territories, including China, Singapore, Korea, Latin America, Russia and others to be announced soon.”
The good news is the phone is no longer confined to South Korea and a few other countries, like the Iron Man edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge was. But it doesn’t look like the Batman-worthy S7 Edge will be available worldwide or in large quantities.
The Injustice S7 Edge comes in a special retail package that includes a gold batwing, a themed protective case, and – in select markets – a Gear VR headset. Of course, the phone features a custom Batman theme, complete with a bat-adorned Always On screen. You also get a Batman Prime Pack of in-game credit worth $100.
No word on the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition’s price. How much would you be willing to pay?
