What comes to your mind when you think of the NBA? Bromance. Duh. There are even websites dedicated to NBA bromance. And it seems like the Los Angeles Clippers duo Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan just can’t get enough of each other in the latest Google Duo commercial. Check it out below:

As you can see, DeAndre spots Blake having a meal with someone else even though he said he “had practice.” DeAndre’s mustard decides give Blake’s ketchup a ring, and of course, Google didn’t waste a moment showing off the Knock Knock feature, which lets you see the caller even before answering the call, provided that you are using an Android device. DeAndre is definitely a little salty that his best bud is having a meal without him, but as Google says, Google Duo is for duos who can’t stay mad at each other.

Audio-only calls are coming to Google’s Duo soon

This is just one of the animated Google Duo ad series on YouTube but the first one to feature NBA superstars. The other ones – featuring undeniable duos like salt and pepper, peanut butter and jam, toothbrush and toothpaste, left sock and right sock – are actually very well-made as well.

Google Duo, for those who don’t know, is Google’s video-chatting app. Essentially it is the search giant’s attempt to take on Apple’s FaceTime – a one-to-one video calling app that supports high quality video and audio with a very simple UI. Unlike FaceTime, however, Duo is available for both Android and iOS.

At any rate, it seems like the LA Clippers are on a roll here: on top of the sweeping victory on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets, their power forward and center are featured in the world’s biggest search giant’s commercial. We will have to wait to see how they will fare against the Sacramento Kings tonight.
