Project Fi adds Three to growing carrier list, Nexus 6P available for just $349 with activation

Google’s Project Fi has been growing immensely since its launch back in April 2015. The wireless service only supported Sprint and T-Mobile networks at the start, but Google recently added U.S. Cellular to the growing carrier list to help bolster its U.S. coverage. While the service has been growing in the U.S., Fi Network subscribers traveling abroad would still need to scramble for a local SIM card or try jumping between Wi-Fi hotspots.

Today Google is making it easier to travel with Project Fi.

On the Official Android Blog, Google has just announced that Three has been added to Project Fi. This means subscribers will now have access to data speeds that are 10-20X faster than before when traveling abroad. Google also notes that Project Fi now spans to 135+ destinations around the world.

This is really great news for folks who frequent the U.K. and other locations covered by Three. Plus, you’ll pay the same $10/GB that you do at home when traveling abroad, so you’ll no longer need to worry about coming home to sky-high overages. Pretty cool, right?
