Nokia 8 Sirocco: Release date, price, and availability
As part of this week’s Mobile World Congress 2018 trade show in Barcelona, Spain, HMD Global has announced it will release the Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphone. This will be an upgraded version of the earlier Nokia 8 handset. The phone’s use of the Sirocco branding, which was used for the much older Nokia 8800 Sirocco mobile phone way back in 2006.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco will include a 5.5-inch pOLED display that’s been designed to form fit into the user’s hand. It will also use Gorilla Glass 5, which will in fact cover 95 percent of the entire phone to help protect it against falls.
Inside, the Nokia 8 Sirocco will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, along with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage space, and the phone will have Android 8.0 Oreo installed. The phone will have dual rear cameras, with 12 MP and 13 MP sensors, along with a 5 MP front-facing camera. Users will be able to use the cameras’ Dual-Sight technology, which will allow them to use both the front and rear cameras at the same time.
The rear cameras will also have ZEISS optics that will give users 2x optical zoom capabilities. The phone will have Pro Camera modes for quick access to more advanced features like white balance, ISO and more. The Nokia 8 Sirocco will also have three integrated microphones for better recording of video and audio.
The phone will support wireless charging with its Qi support for its 3,260 mAh battery, and it will support fast charging, with 50 percent of the battery powered up in just 30 minutes. Finally, the Nokia 8 Sirocco will have an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.

Nokia 8 Sirocco price
HMD Global says the Nokia 8 Sirocco will cost 749 euros when it is released. There’s no word yet on what the price will be in other parts of the world.
Nokia 8 Sirocco release date
HMD Global says the Nokia 8 Sirocco will be available sometime in April. At the moment, there’s no word on where the company will be launching the phone first.
