Nokia 9 PureView: Where to buy, when, and for how much
HMD Global introduced the Nokia 9 PureView at MWC 2019 and we have details on its price and availability.
The launch of the device was a big moment for the startup that took up Nokia’s legendary mantle just two years ago. The Nokia 9 PureView is a real flagship, albeit one that appears to have been designed for a 2018 release. The big selling point is, of course, the first of its kind camera setup, made up of no fewer than five sensors. But there’s plenty to like about the Nokia 9 PureView, including an attractive price. Here are the details.
Nokia 9 PureView release date
HMD Global officially revealed the Nokia 9 PureView on February 24, 2019, in Barcelona.
At the launch event, HMD was coy about revealing an exact date the device could actually be purchased by the public. However, it eventually announced that the phone would hit store shelves in the United States on March 4, 2019. The phone has also already been released in Europe.
Nokia 9 PureView price
In the United States, the Nokia 9 PureView retails for $699. You were able to get if for $100 less during the promo period, but that only lasted for the first week of sales. It’s available for purchase from physical Best Buy stores, BestBuy.com, and Amazon.
In Europe, the Nokia 9 PureView retails for 599 euros.
Limited production run
The Nokia 9 PureView is technically a limited-edition device. HMD said it would manufacture a set number of units and would not continue fabrication once stock runs out. This is a pretty odd stance for what’s essentially HMD’s most-hyped phone to date. We suspect it has something to do with the fact that HMD was stuck with building the phone around the Snapdragon 845, instead of the 2019 gold standard, the Snapdragon 855.
