Nokia X6 Global version listed on Bluetooth sites, along with Nokia 5.1 Plus
- Bluetooth certification sites may have confirmed that the Nokia X6 will launch outside of China after all.
- Two global variants of the phone could be made available in Russia and Taiwan.
- The rumored Nokia 5.1 Plus may have been spotted on Bluetooth sites as well.
A few weeks ago, the Nokia X6 launched in China, and it is the first such device from Nokia smartphone maker HMD with a 19:9 display. At the time, HMD indicated the Nokia X6 would only be released in China, but later its CPO Juho Sarvikas posted a Twitter poll asking people if they would like to see the phone launch in other markets. The poll results showed overwhelmingly that people wanted to get the Nokia X6 outside of China.

We’re not sure whether this was a real poll or simply an online marketing scheme by HMD, though it appears that the company is indeed moving forward with releasing versions of the Nokia X6 to other countries. Nokiapoweruser reports that Bluetooth certification sites have shown Nokia phones with the model numbers of TA-1083 and TA-1116 pop up. The latter number was found on sites in Russia and Taiwan, indicating that those two markets could be among the first to get the Nokia X6.
The Nokia X6 was released in China with a 5.8-inch 2,280×1,080 resolution display. It has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chip, up to 6GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage space. It has a dual-rear camera setup, with 16MP and 5MP sensors, and a 16MP front-facing camera. Finally, it has a 3,060mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Along with the possible launch of the Noka X6 in other markets, there’s another hint that HMD could be about to announce the Nokia 5.1 Plus, which was first leaked a week ago. Nokiapoweruser again reports that the Chinese Bluetooth site has posted a Nokia phone with a model number of TA-1099, adding that it will have a MediaTek processor inside. The current Nokia 5.1 has the MediaTek MT6755S chipset inside.
The renders of the alleged Nokia 5.1 Plus show that it might also have a notch design in the front, a 19:9 screen ratio, along with a vertical dual camera setup. The current Nokia 5.1 has a 5.5-inch 2,160 x 1,080 resolution display, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of onboard storage, a single 16MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing camera and a 2,970mAh battery.
