New leak gives us our first look at the Nothing Ear 2
- Renders of Nothing’s upcoming TWS earbuds have leaked online.
- The new earbuds are reportedly called the Nothing Ear 2.
- The renders show minimal changes between the Nothing Ear 1 and 2.
As London-based consumer electronics company, Nothing, prepares for the launch of its Ear Stick earbuds, a leak has revealed details about the company’s second audio offering — the Nothing Ear 2.
In collaboration with well-known tipster Kuba Wojciechowski, 91Mobiles has obtained renders of the Nothing Ear 2. Successor to the Nothing Ear 1 that launched last year, the renders provide a few new details we didn’t have before.
Based on the images, it appears that Nothing’s new earbuds will see minor design changes. The most notable change is the new branding on the stem of the earbuds. It now says Ear 2 instead of Ear 1.
Outside of the branding, the earbuds retain the see-through aesthetic Nothing has become known for. It also appears that the charging case will be largely the same from a design standpoint with its clear plastic and square body.
Although the design has hardly deviated from the previous iteration, we know nothing about what lies underneath. There could be marked improvements or slight improvements. We’ll just have find out when more details to come out.
As for the company’s Ear Stick earbuds, the product is available for preorder today with a price tag of $99 (€119/£99). According to Nothing’s website, the Ear Stick boasts seven hours of playtime and three hours of talk time. The lipstick-like charging case reportedly can boost talking time up to 12 hours and listening time to 29 hours. Additionally, the case get up to two hours of charge after 10 minutes.
The Nothing Ear Stick is also said to have a custom 12.6 mm dynamic driver, can provide wind and crowd-proof calls, and comes with EQ settings.
