Nova Launcher 6.0 available to everyone with searchable settings and more
The newest version of the popular smartphone launcher app has some new features and improvements, according to its official changelog. One useful addition is the ability to search for settings in the app. The search bar provider can be set by default to either Google Search or Nova Settings. Additionally, the Settings menu has received some tweaks as well, including putting dock options as part of the desktop.
Nova Launcher 6.0 also includes a number of new Adaptive Icon options, including a new customizable shape. You don’t need to purchase the premium Nova Prime version of the launcher anymore to change icon sizes. There’s a way to make the size of the folder icon and the app drawer icon match up to the desktop size. The new version also offers either windowed or immersive modes for window styles in folders.
In addition, the latest version of Nova Launcher lets you stylize the app drawer search bar like on the desktop. Folder background shapes can now share the same options as adaptive icons. Finally, there are new vertical or horizontal scrolling options for folders.
You can download the new free version of Nova Launcher 6.0 via Google Play at the link below. You can also purchase Nova Launcher Prime with features and options not available in the free edition (customizable swipe gestures, unread counts, the ability to hide apps, more scroll effects, etc.) from Google Play as well for $4.99.
