NVIDIA is rolling out an update to its Shield Tablet K1 that brings a number of notable improvements to the tablet’s software.

The big news with this version 1.3 update is the addition of Android 6.0 Professional Audio requirements, such as low latency audio (<20ms continuous round trip), MIDI support over USB and Bluetooth LE, 24-bit@192kHz Stereo and 7.1 HDMI output, as well as USB Host and Peripheral modes.

There’s also a new option to toggle the location of the navigation button, improvements to touch responsiveness, fixes to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and enhancements and fixes to Vulkan API.

Security is also a big focus with this update. Version 1.3 comes with the June 2016 Android security patch, as well as overall stability and security improvements.
