The OnePlus 10 could be on the way without Snapdragon power
- A new OnePlus phone powered by the Dimensity 9000 is purportedly on the way.
- Leaker Yogesh Brar claims that this could be the OnePlus 10.
The OnePlus 10 Pro wasn’t accompanied by the OnePlus 10, so those wanting an affordable flagship-level phone have to either choose an older device or look elsewhere. Now, a frequent leaker has asserted that the vanilla model could still be in the works.
Tipster Yogesh Brar claimed on Twitter that OnePlus is readying a Dimensity 9000 smartphone for a “limited release.” Brar further suggests that this device could be the OnePlus 10.
This wouldn’t be the first time that we hear about a Dimensity 9000-toting OnePlus phone. Android Central reported earlier this year that the OnePlus 10R will have MediaTek’s latest high-end SoC. However, 91mobiles has since reported that the OnePlus 10R is a realme GT Neo 3 in disguise, featuring a Dimensity 8100 chipset instead. So it certainly sounds like the Dimensity 9000 phone could be the OnePlus 10 then.
Would you buy the OnePlus 10 with a Dimensity 9000 chip?
There’s no word on availability just yet though, although the tipster’s claim of a “limited release” makes us wonder if the phone will come to India and/or the US. There’s also no word on pricing, but we hope it’s competitive against the likes of Samsung and Google.
Finally, Brar reiterated that the OnePlus 10 Ultra is on the way and might be revealed soon. Those wanting a more premium experience than the OnePlus 10 Pro might want to keep an eye out for this model then.
