Why did OnePlus wait till now to launch the 10 Pro globally?
OnePlus broke from tradition this year and launched the phone in China before the rest of the world. According to CEO Pete Lau, software development for global markets takes longer because of carrier compliance. However, Lau has promised that the company would work towards shortening the gap between launches in China and the rest of the world going forward.
Speaking of software, the global OnePlus 10 Pro model will not come with a new unified OS as expected before. For those who didn’t know this already, OnePlus will be retaining Oxygen OS for its international phone models. This means the OnePlus 10 Pro should be launching with Oxygen OS 12 on board.
