Earlier than expected: OnePlus says OnePlus 10 Pro is coming in January
- OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 10 Pro is coming in January 2022.
- This is a couple of months earlier than the OnePlus 9 series launch this year.
We’ve already seen leaked renders purportedly showing off the OnePlus 10 Pro, but we were only expecting to see the device in February or March at the earliest. Now, it turns out that we’ll see the OnePlus 10 Pro much sooner than that.
OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau made a Weibo post, using a OnePlus 10 Pro hashtag. “See you in January,” the executive added. Check out a screenshot of the machine-translated post below.
The official OnePlus Weibo account also shared Lau’s post, adding that the device is “coming soon.” This all points to a device launch event rather than an event focused on OnePlus 10 Pro technologies, but it’s way sooner than expected.
By comparison, the OnePlus 9 series launched on March 23, the OnePlus 8 range launched on April 14, and the OnePlus 7 series was revealed on May 14. So a January launch window would be a couple of months earlier at the very least.
In any event, the OnePlus 10 Pro is tipped to arrive with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, a 120Hz QHD+ OLED panel, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging. The phone is also said to offer a triple rear camera system, comprising a 50MP main shooter, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 8MP 3.3X telephoto lens.
