Is OnePlus pulling a Nothing with its next concept phone?
- OnePlus has posted teaser images of the OnePlus 11 Concept.
- The images show a phone with ‘icy blue pipelines’ on the back.
OnePlus confirmed earlier this month that it would be showing off a concept phone at Mobile World Congress 2023 next week. Now, the company has posted fleeting glimpses at the so-called OnePlus 11 Concept, while also issuing a few details.
The Chinese manufacturer posted two images of the concept phone, showing a unibody glass design sitting atop “icy blue pipelines.” OnePlus compared the pipelines to blood vessels. Check out the teaser pictures below.
It’s unclear if the blue pipelines are actually lights that can be activated by the user — akin to the Nothing Phone 1 — or if they’re simply static elements. Nevertheless, the teaser images suggest that the pipelines will be visible to users and that it will snake all around the rear cover and around the rear camera housing.
Speaking of the camera system, a circular camera housing is visible here and we can make out what appears to be a periscope lens too. This would be a major departure for OnePlus, as the company hasn’t offered a periscope camera on any smartphone before.
In any event, we won’t have too long to wait to see the OnePlus 11 Concept. The mobile brand will show off the new concept handset on February 27 at 9 AM CET (3 AM ET).
