OnePlus all but launches the OnePlus 11R ahead of February 7 event
- OnePlus has revealed more OnePlus 11R details ahead of the February 7 launch.
- The phone will offer a 120Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery, and 100W wired charging.
OnePlus confirmed last week that the OnePlus 11R will join the OnePlus 11 and a host of other gadgets at its February 7 launch event. The company also revealed that the OnePlus 11R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor.
Now, the Chinese smartphone brand has revealed plenty more OnePlus 11R details ahead of the official launch event. The phone will indeed be powered by last year’s flagship Snapdragon silicon, while also touting up to 16GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging. The latter will take the phone from zero to 100% capacity in a claimed 25 minutes.
OnePlus 11R: What else to know?
OnePlus says the new phone also touts a 120Hz display with ADFR 2.0 tech, capable of switching to 40Hz, 45Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz. This isn’t quite as low as the 10Hz or 1Hz refresh rates seen on LTPO screens, but it’s still better than only switching between 60Hz and 120Hz.
Other noteworthy features include a RAM-Vita function for improved system performance and memory management, as well as an improved cooling system. There’s no word on camera details just yet, but a previous leak points to a triple rear camera system (50MP IMX766, 13MP ultrawide, 2MP macro).
We’ll have to wait until the February 7 launch event to find out pricing, but the firm insists that the OnePlus 11R will offer a “more accessible price point.” So those wanting more performance for their money should keep an eye on this handset.
