OnePlus 5T price will be the same as the OnePlus 5 — report

Leaked documents have apparently revealed that the OnePlus 5T will cost the same as the OnePlus 5 in the UK — but will it be the same for the US?

Despite a wealth of rumors regarding the OnePlus 5T, its exact price has continued to escape us. Yesterday, we reported that upcoming device would probably cost less than $600. This was based on a comment from OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, but it gave us only an idea of what we could expect to pay for the 5T.

According to a new report from TechRadar, the OnePlus 5T will in fact cost the same as the OnePlus 5 — at least in the UK.

TechRadar says the price was detailed in a confidential document relating to UK carrier O2, which also revealed that it would arrive in 64 GB and 128 GB storage versions. The 64 GB OnePlus 5 model went on sale for £449 in the UK with O2, while the 128 GB model was set at £499. Presumably, these are the figures that TechRadar saw, though it didn’t specifically state the prices in its report.

If this information is accurate, it’s likely that OnePlus has the same price strategy planned for the US. This would put the OnePlus 5T 64 GB at $479 and the 128 GB variant at $539. Note that these prices represent both the introductory and final selling prices — excluding special offers, they remained the same since release.

The OnePlus 5T will be unveiled at a New York event on November 16 and on sale from November 21: for more details on what it’s expected to offer, visit our dedicated OnePlus 5T rumors post at the link.
