Own a OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro? The company needs your help
OnePlus occasionally asks its loyal community of users to beta test software for its smartphones. Now that the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 are in customer’s hands, the company is opening up its closed beta group to 250 new members.
The closed beta group will have access to new firmware before anyone else — including those in the open beta. The selected beta testers will provide feedback on features and changes directly to the OnePlus team.
Below are OnePlus’ requirements to be eligible to become one of its beta testers:
- Use a OnePlus 7 series device
- Be an active OnePlus Community member
- Be willing to constantly communicate and provide feedback to the OnePlus team on Slack
Before you apply, be warned that OnePlus will occasionally require its testers to flash builds that wipe their device’s memory. If you’re not down to sometimes delete everything from your phone, you probably shouldn’t apply.
Additionally, selected applicants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before they are admitted to the testing group. OnePlus wants the features added to the betas to remain secret until it pushes them out to the masses.
