The regular OnePlus 7 might look very similar to the OnePlus 6T
With all eyes on the OnePlus 7 Pro, let’s not forget that there might also be a regular OnePlus 7 for those who can’t spring for the fancier model. Earlier today, WinFuture shared some supposed images of the normal OnePlus 7.
From the teardrop-style display notch and alleged in-display fingerprint sensor to the dual rear camera setup and display size, the OnePlus 7 appears strikingly similar to the OnePlus 6T. The recycled design could allow OnePlus to price the OnePlus 7 close to its predecessor’s $549 price tag, but nothing’s been confirmed yet.
The real changes are with the rear cameras and internals. According to WinFuture, the OnePlus 7 features the same primary 48-megapixel Sony sensor seen in the OnePlus 7 Pro. There’s also a secondary lens, though it’s likely only used for depth data.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 7 reportedly features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 or 8GB of RAM, 128 or 256GB of storage, and a 3,700mAh battery. The OnePlus 6T also features a 3,700mAh battery, which resulted in fantastic longevity. Perhaps the more efficient Snapdragon 855 could lead to even greater battery gains for the OnePlus 7.
We won’t have to wait too long to learn more — OnePlus is set to announce the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro next Tuesday, May 14 in New York City.
