The OnePlus 8 series is gaining Android 13 this week
- OnePlus is now rolling out stable Oxygen OS 13 to its OnePlus 8 series.
- The update includes Android 13, the new aquamorphic design language, and more.
- Other OnePlus phones, including the 10R, 9R, and 9RT also received the update this week.
OnePlus first announced the Oxygen OS 13 beta based on Android 13 back in August, giving OnePlus 10T owners a taste of the latest skin. Now, owners of older flagships can finally onboard the stable version.
OnePlus 8 series users across Reddit and official forums have noted that stable Oxygen OS 13 is now landing on their devices. This includes the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T. This rollout comes soon after OnePlus pushed the latest Oxygen OS version to the OnePlus 9 series.
So what can users look forward to? Well, changelogs cite a move to Android 13, which includes a new “aquamorphic design,” efficiency improvements, connectivity buffs, personalization and security tweaks, and more.
OnePlus hasn’t yet officially confirmed the rollout to its 2020 flagships in a forum post as it usually does, and not every user has received the update. But don’t worry if you haven’t received a notification on your device just yet. Expect more information from the company in the coming days.
