OnePlus 8 press renders leak, look a lot like OnePlus 8 Pro
Earlier this week, we saw leaked press renders of the OnePlus 8 Pro. Now, via smartphone accessory retailer Pigtou and frequent leaker @OnLeaks, we have similar renders for the non-Pro version of the same device.
Overall, the OnePlus 8 renders don’t look too different from the original CAD-based renders we saw from @OnLeaks back in October (geez, this phone leaked early).
On the front, we have a nearly bezel-less display interrupted only by a small cutout in the upper left corner for the single selfie camera. On the back, we have what appears to be a triple-lens camera module, LED flash, and the “new” OnePlus logo the brand launched last week.
On the bottom of these OnePlus 8 renders, we see a USB-C port and a single speaker grille, with no headphone jack in sight, as expected.
There aren’t too many surprises here, really. However, it is pretty notable how similar these renders look to the OnePlus 8 Pro renders we saw earlier this week. Last year, there were some very notable design differences between the Pro and non-Pro variants of OnePlus phones, but this time around it seems that’s not the case.
This week, we also saw the specs tables leak for the new OnePlus phones, and there weren’t too many surprises there, either. However, fans will be excited to know that it’s looking more and more likely that the Pro variant will come with wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and an IP rating. However, the vanilla OnePlus 8 likely won’t have any of those perks.
