Leaked renders show OnePlus 9 Pro borrows design cues from OnePlus 8 Pro, 8T
- Renders of the OnePlus 9 Pro have leaked.
- The phone is expected to carry a curved display and a quad-camera setup.
- The design seems to be inspired by the OnePlus 8 Pro and the OnePlus 8T.
The OnePlus 9 series is expected to launch sometime in mid-March 2021, but it’s not eluding leakers too well it seems. After outing renders of the vanilla OnePlus 9 earlier this month, popular tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has now published alleged renders for the OnePlus 9 Pro on Voice.
The leaker claims that the renders belong to a prototype of the phone but says that a vast majority of this design is set in stone. That said, you can expect some changes in the final OnePlus 9 Pro unit that comes to market.
OnePlus 9 Pro renders
Unlike the flat panel we saw on the OnePlus 9 renders, the OnePlus 9 Pro is said to adopt a 6.7-inch curved display just like the OnePlus 8 Pro. The phone even has a punch hole on the far left corner of the screen, just like its predecessor.
The biggest design change on the OnePlus 9 Pro looks to be a Note 20-like rectangular camera array at the back. The OnePlus 8T and the new Nord phones also have similar rear camera housings, so the design is not too far from home for OnePlus.
Hemmerstoffer claims that the phone includes up to four camera sensors at the back. Two of these four are enclosed within “huge” metal rings that protrude slightly from the camera bump.
Unfortunately, the leaker doesn’t provide any details about the camera specs.
Elsewhere, the OnePlus 9 Pro renders show speakers at the bottom edge. The alert slider and power button are seen on the right of the device, while the volume rocker is on the left. You can browse through the renders by tapping on the images above.
