OnePlus 9RT hits India: You should probably wait for OnePlus 10 series
The OnePlus 10 Pro was launched in China earlier this week, with a global launch coming at a yet-to-be-determined date. In the meantime, OnePlus has decided to bring the OnePlus 9RT to India.
The phone is essentially a follow-up to the OnePlus 9R, bringing a Snapdragon 888 SoC, 8GB to 12GB of RAM, 128GB to 256GB of storage, and a flat 6.62-inch 120Hz OLED panel (FHD+).
Moving to the battery side of things, the OnePlus 9RT packs a 4,500mAh battery and 65W wired charging capable of fully topping up your device in 29 minutes. The phone also supports 33W USB-PD/PPS charging for third-party adapters, but don’t expect wireless charging here.
Photography specs include a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera (one-micron pixels), 16MP ultrawide camera (123-degree field-of-view), and a budget-tier 2MP macro lens. A 16MP camera in a left-aligned punch-hole cutout handles selfies and video calls.
OnePlus 9RT pricing and availability
The OnePlus 9RT starts at Rs 42,999 (~$580), with sales beginning on Amazon India. The phone — which comes with six months of free Spotify premium access — will also be sold via the OnePlus website, OnePlus experience stores, and select partners.
In saying so, the OnePlus 10 Pro launch is presumably a month or two away, and we’re guessing that it’ll be accompanied by the OnePlus 10. So you might want to wait before pulling the trigger on the OnePlus 9RT.
OnePlus also launched the Buds Z2 in the country, starting at Rs 4,999 (~$67). Open sales for the earbuds will commence on January 18.
