OnePlus Health app teardown confirms OnePlus Band name, more details
- An APK teardown of the new OnePlus Health app reveals a lot of info about the as-yet-unreleased OnePlus Band.
- As one would expect with a rebranded OPPO app, OnePlus’ sister company is referenced heavily throughout the code.
- There is even reference to the OPPO Watch, although that is likely a placeholder and not evidence that the OnePlus Watch will just be a rebranded OPPO Watch.
Earlier today, we told you about how a new OnePlus Health app just emerged on the Google Play Store. You can’t install it on your phone, but a member of the German Technik News team grabbed the APK and tore it apart. The code inside sheds some light on the OnePlus Health app as well as the upcoming OnePlus Band and OnePlus Watch.
To no one’s surprise, the app references OPPO all over the place. Considering the OnePlus Health app is a barely rebranded version of OPPO’s own HeyTap Health app, this is to be expected. Much of that code could simply be placeholder text that will change when it launches for the public, though.
However, certain aspects of the APK make specific references to the OnePlus Band. There are even renders of the device with the OnePlus logo, so it’s clear that at least parts of the APK are finalized with OnePlus rebranding.
OnePlus Band images and feature demos
We already saw some clock faces for the Band in the official screenshots of the OnePlus Health app. There are two more in the code that we haven’t seen yet:

Additionally, there’s a render of the OnePlus Band in the code. There’s also a render of the OPPO Watch, but the Band render has the OnePlus logo right on it. It’s possible that the OPPO Watch render is there because the upcoming OnePlus Watch will simply be a rebrand of that device, but there’s no proof of that. It’s far more likely that the OPPO device is in the code as a placeholder.
The Band render, though, is assuredly not a placeholder:
Elsewhere in the APK code, there are videos showing how various features of the OnePlus Band will work. Below, you can see a quick video example of a user starting to track their SpO2 level:
You can see more videos like the one above in the Twitter thread.
We expect OnePlus to launch the OnePlus Band very soon, possibly even next week. Stay tuned.
