OnePlus confirms new Bullets Wireless buds are coming (Update: images)
Update, April 8 2020 (7:27AM ET): OnePlus confirmed earlier today that it’s working on new Bullets Wireless earbuds (see original article below), revealing some impressive fast-charge tech too.
Serial leaker Evan Blass has quickly followed up with images on Patreon showing the new earbuds in action, giving us a better idea of what to expect. Check the shots below.
The images clearly show a similar design to the previous Bullets Wireless earphones, so those hoping for true wireless earbuds will be disappointed. We also get names for the actual colors, featuring Blue, Black, Oat, and Mint options.
Original article, April 8 2020 (6:20AM ET): We first got word last week that OnePlus is working on new Bullets Wireless earbuds, with leaks pointing to fast charging tech as well.
Now, OnePlus has indeed confirmed that an “all-new” Bullets Wireless device is coming soon. The company revealed the news on Twitter, while also noting that a 10 minute charge will give 10 hours of playback. The tweet also links to a live-stream link for the OnePlus 8 series event on April 14, suggesting that the new earbuds will debut there.

The company hasn’t revealed more news about the upcoming ‘buds, but leaker Ishan Agarwal previously disclosed details. Agarwal said the new accessory is called the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z and that it won’t actually be true wireless earbuds.
Furthermore, the leaker also (now correctly) claimed that it would offer 10 hours of playback from a 10 minute charge, and that you can expect 20 hours of total playback time. Other claimed details at the time include lower Bluetooth latency (110ms) and an IP55 splash-resistant design.
Frequent tipster Evan Blass also posted an image this week showing the supposed OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z in four shades (seen above). There’s no word on pricing just yet, but hopefully it’s in line with the previous Bullets Wireless ‘buds.
The news also comes as more OnePlus 8 series specs surface online, with WinFuture revealing a ton of camera details. Furthermore, OnePlus has also just revealed that it’s offering 30W wireless charging on at least one of its phones. You can check out all the major OnePlus 8 rumors via our hub at the previous link.
