OnePlus India now offers a small but welcome discount for students

OnePlus phones are already competitively priced in India compared to the brand’s pricing in Europe and North America. But what if you want to shave a little more off the retail price?

Well, the manufacturer has now launched OnePlus Education Benefits in India, offering exclusive discounts to higher education students and teachers. More specifically, OnePlus says the discounts apply to students and teachers from 760 universities and 38,498 colleges.

Don’t expect major price cuts though, as you’re only eligible for a 5% discount on OnePlus accessories (including audio and cases) and a Rs 1,000 (~$13) discount on a OnePlus smartphone or TV. 

To take advantage of the offer and receive the voucher, you’ll need to verify your student/teacher status via the Student Beans service. The voucher is valid for a calendar year and can be applied after checking out.

OnePlus adds that the voucher can only be claimed once. Presumably that means you can only buy a phone, TV, or discounted accessory rather than one of each. In any event, you can check out the OnePlus Education Benefits page via the button below.
