OnePlus Nord 2 specs leak in full, MediaTek Dimensity 1200 big headliner
- A reliable leaker just pushed out a list of OnePlus Nord 2 specs.
- The biggest change is the alleged presence of the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, a dramatic departure from OnePlus’ Qualcomm roots.
- Other specs seem to be on par for a follow-up to last year’s Nord.
OnePlus has pushed out lots of Nord news recently, with reveals of the Nord CE as well as the ultra-budget Nord N200. However, fans have been waiting for the real reveal of the true follow-up to last year’s well-received OnePlus Nord.
Well, we don’t have an official reveal for you yet, but we have something you’ll like: a leaked list of OnePlus Nord 2 specs. The source of the leak is reliable scenester Steve Hemmerstoffer (via 91Mobiles), so these specs are very likely accurate or at least very close.

The big highlight of the alleged specs sheet is the presence of a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. If this pans out, it would be the first phone from OnePlus ever without a Qualcomm chipset. Not only would this be a dramatic shift for OnePlus, but it would also be a big boon for MediaTek, which lags behind Qualcomm in the industry.
OnePlus Nord 2 specs
Outside of the Dimensity 1200 chipset, the specs for the Nord 2 look pretty basic.
The leak suggests the Nord 2 could come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, complete with an in-display fingerprint reader. The display would have a 90Hz refresh rate. This is not too different from the original Nord, which had a 6.44-inch display with similar specs.
On the back, the Nord 2 might only have three lenses, as opposed to the Nord’s four. The lenses could be a 50MP main paired with an 8MP ultra-wide and another 2MP sensor of some kind (depth, maybe?). The single selfie camera could be a 32MP lens. This means the dual-selfie cam of the original Nord won’t make the cut with the follow-up.

Powering the phone could be a 4,500mAh cell, a nice upgrade from the 4,115mAh cell in the original Nord. Hemmerstoffer doesn’t mention it, but you can expect at least 30W wired charging with the Nord 2.
Finally, the leaked OnePlus Nord 2 specs suggest there could be two storage variants: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB. It is highly unlikely either model would have expandable storage.
It will probably be another month before we see this phone launch. In the meantime, what do you think of what we know so far?
