OnePlus announces Nord LE: Only one will be produced
- OnePlus has launched a new phone called the OnePlus Nord LE.
- The company will make a single unit of the phone that you can get for free if you’re lucky.
When smartphone makers launch a new phone, they produce millions of units to distribute around the world. Not OnePlus. Not with the new OnePlus Nord LE.
If you haven’t heard the name of the smartphone before, don’t be surprised. We also heard it for the first time today. So what exactly is the OnePlus Nord LE? Put simply, it is the same phone as the original OnePlus Nord. This means you get a Snapdragon 765G phone with a 90Hz display, quad rear camera setup, two selfie shooters, a 4115mAh battery, and 30W charging.
What’s new, you ask? Well, the OnePlus Nord LE features a gradient finish that transitions from orange to green. The device also promises a smooth-to-touch back panel, unlike the glossy finish you’ll find on the OnePlus Nord in Blue Marble, or Gray Onyx.
There’s another difference, OnePlus will make only one unit of the phone. Yes, you heard that right. As far as limited edition devices go, this is as “limited” as it gets. In fact, OnePlus says that LE stands for “Literally Only One Edition.”
So if you want to get your hands on this unique (by numbers, not specs) OnePlus phone, you can enter the company’s giveaway by following the steps below.
- Make sure you’re following oneplus.nord on Instagram
- Take a picture of your current smartphone and post it on your Instagram feed – your caption needs to tell OnePlus why you want to upgrade to OnePlus Nord. You also need to use #SwitchToNord in your caption.
